Ed Lyman

This guy has a whale of a job! Alaska-based marine biologist Ed Lyman helps rescue whales when they get caught in fishing lines or accidentally hit by boats. He says the whales are majestic and powerful and that people definitely need to respect their size, which can be as large as 45 tons! Ed notes that even though he's seen a lot of whales in his day, he continues to snap pictures whenever he sees one breaching, or jumping out of the water. "I love it!" he says.
